I went to work setting up the spare room for my grand daughter to spend the summer. I asked what kind of decor she wanted. She said “Purple!” I had to work with her to realize there are themes and colors and shapes and sizes, but she, in her wisdom, was satisfied as long as it was purple.
Now not everyone wants the same rug. I tried some local stores, but just couldn’t find the right fit so I went online. When it came to floor covering this is what I found that fit the description of "purple rugs for kid’s rooms.” I must say I was rather pleased at the vast selections I had to choose from. There were round ones, oval ones and square ones. Flower and heart shaped. Some were shag, others were pile. Bright and dark and patterned and solid. There were some large for the whole floor and others small for the foot of the bed. It was tough to choose so I had her help me.
She was so excited when the rug she picked out was delivered.
Keep in mind how old the person is that the rug is intended for. Think about the next couple years if there will be a big attitude change. Consider who will clean it and where/how will it be used. A good decision here will save work and heartache down the road. Our heart may not be right for you child but our dear 8 year old girl even sleeps on hers sometimes.
I liked the fact that the one she chose was more versatile then expected. In fact, other then being a moderate purple color, I can even use it in other places in the house. But of course she took it with when she went back home.
Here is the selection for Purple Rugs. Make sure to consider the size you need. And take note that many kids love the flower or the heart.
